Herb Garden Bread

1½ teaspoons quick rise yeast
1 cup Gold Medal bread flour
1 cup The Granary whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
½-1 teaspoon Morton salt
½-1 teaspoon dried chives
½-1 teaspoon dried oregano
½-1 teaspoon basil
½-1 teaspoon thyme
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 cup plus 1 tablespoon warm water (110°F)

Place all ingredients in bread machine according to manufacturer's directions. If using fresh herbs, double the amount called for. Select "basic white" mode and press start. Remove bread from the machine pan and cool on wire rack. Makes one 1-pound loaf. A Welbilt bread machine was used.

Nutrient Analysis. One 1-ounce portion provides 64 calories, 2 g protein, 12 g carbohydrates, 1 g dietary fiber, 1 g fat, 7 mg calcium, 47 mg potassium, and 77 mg sodium.
